Unfortunately, customer technical services often make the mistake of installing an expander or an extra branch for mounting a thermomanometer. It should be remembered that for measuring the temperature in the device, a bimetallic spring is used as a sensitive element and therefore the immersion part of the thermomanometer must be in the pipe (in direct contact with the coolant), otherwise a large error occurs when measuring the temperature. The error in temperature measurement is minimal if the end of the valve is immersed to a depth of not less than ⅓ and not more than ⅔ of the diameter of the pipeline. Thermomanometers are mounted directly on the pipeline, it is enough to weld a boss with a female thread G½ to it. Installation and operation

Installation (dismantling) of devices in the absence of pressure in the pipeline. The device must be installed either in the normal operating position (the position of the device with the vertical position of the dial (tolerance ± 5 ° in either direction)) or in accordance with the sign of the working position indicated on the dial.

During installation, the device may only be rotated by a fitting with a wrench. It is forbidden to apply force to the body of the device. The mounting torque should not exceed 20 N ∙ m. Pressure is supplied by pipelines with an internal diameter of at least 3 mm.

The device should be used to measure pressure and temperature only in the environment for which it is intended; load the device gradually with pressure and prevent sudden pressure surges; Do not exceed the measuring range. Do not use solvents or abrasives to clean glass.

A typical selection unit for connecting a thermomanometer consists of a welded boss (BP-BT-30-G½ or BP-BT-55-G½). In the thermomanometer, a bimetallic spring located in the lower part of the device rod is used as a thermocouple. The temperature measurement error is minimal if the end of the valve is submerged to a depth of not less than ⅓ and not more than ⅔ of the internal diameter of the pipeline (D). Different immersion depths of the thermocouple can be achieved by choosing the length of the welded boss or the immersion part of the thermomanometer.

When installing TMTB thermomanometers, seal threaded connections with FUM tape. The sealing winding should be carried out in the direction opposite to the direction of screwing the part so that during installation the screwed part does not tear the winding.

The device must be excluded from operation and returned for repair if: the device does not work; glass of the device is broken or damaged; the arrow moves irregularly or does not return to zero; the error of readings exceeds the permissible value. In the absence of pressure, the arrow should be within the zero mark area. Deviation of the arrow beyond this area indicates a malfunction of the device.
