The tinting process itself is carried out as follows.

  3. The glass on both sides is thoroughly washed with soapy water. Heavy stains can be removed using a solvent.
  4. The tint film is applied to the outside of the glass and traced with a marker to a tolerance of 5–7 mm.
  5. The film is cut along the applied line with a sharp knife.
  6. The protective layer is removed from the film.
  7. The surfaces of the glass and the adhesive side of the film are moistened with a soap solution.
  8. The film is applied to a clean, damp surface. In this case, the formation of horizontal folds should not be allowed.
  9. The film is carefully pressed with a plastic or rubber scraper from the center of the strip to the edges. At the same time, wrinkles are smoothed out. It is advisable to warm up the film with a hair dryer. There should be no bubbles between the film and glass. If they appear, they should be driven out with a scraper to the side that is not yet glued, or pierced with a thin needle.
  10. The glass is dried for several hours and installed on the car.

Headlight tuning

The simplest and most affordable way to tune the headlights and rear lights of a VAZ 2107 is to replace standard bulbs with LED ones.

  4. The protective layer is removed from the tint film, and it is glued from the interior to the wet inner side of the glass. Since the film has taken the form of glass, it should fit quite tightly. Water is removed from under the tinting using a scraper.

Sometimes, instead of tinting, a decorative grille made of two-millimeter plastic is installed on the rear window, which can be purchased at a car store. For ease of installation, it consists of two halves and is easily attached to the rubber seal of the rear window from the outside. The grille can be painted to match the color of the car or left in its original form.

On the VAZ prototype, Fiat 124, the designers installed a disc brake system. It is ideal for highways and highways, those that in modern Russia are called federal. There are no special improvements when tuning the suspension of any brand. The usual steps in this direction are to replace drum brakes with disc brakes. But this is worth doing if a general modernization of the engine and gearbox has been carried out. You can replace some components with products made from lighter and stronger, and therefore more expensive, material. Another tuning point is to manipulate the length of the springs. Some owners, trying to give their car the look of a sports car, cut off 1-2 turns from the spring. I remember how I changed the ball joints for the first time in my life. It happened unexpectedly - I went to the village to visit a friend. Exciting fishing was expected. On the way to the lake I had to brake sharply and turn the steering wheel. There was a crunch, then a knock, and the car began to pull to the left. “The ball has flown,” said Tolya (my friend) with the air of an expert. Indeed, when they jacked up the car, it turned out that the bull's-eye had jumped out of its socket - what a forceful blow it must have been! Hub

The hub is located at the center of the front suspension structure and is a rounded part connected to the shaft. It has a bearing, the model and strength of which depends on the design tasks.

Thus, the hub consists of a housing, metal wheel studs, bearings and sensors (not installed on all models).

The steering knuckle is an important part of the hub, because thanks to this component, the entire front suspension is integrated with it. The element is fixed using hinges to the hub, steering tips and rack.

  2. Remove struts or conventional shock absorbers.

  7. Loosen the lower and upper ball joint nuts, but do not completely unscrew them.

  9. Secure the upper lever with a wire hook and lower the lower one.
  10. Use a pry bar to pry the springs from below and remove them.

Then you need to free both springs from the gaskets and check the condition of the latter. If they are in good condition, install the new spring using electrical tape. Install reinforced springs in place of the standard ones.
