Datsun is up to the panel. Photo Datsun on-Do - Basic instruments and readings of the on-board computer - easy to read

Are you crazy? Are you going to drive half of Russia in this car? Oh well.
I heard such phrases from my friends and readers when I announced my participation in the 9,000-kilometer rally on the new Russian automobile industry - Datsun on-DO.
“Yes, I'm going, why not?” And why does it surprise you so much?
- This is a VAZ car, a dubious undertaking ...
Unfortunately, many years of dislike and mistrust of many people for the “people's car maker” have become so ossified that by default they are ready to consider all the cars that AvtoVAZ manufactures as poor and bad without even once sitting in the driver's or passenger seat. AvtoVAZ? That's all, you should not expect anything worthwhile from him.
In fact, everything is far from being as bad as many are accustomed to imagine.
Datsun on-DO, or as it is also called the "Japanese Grant" turned out to be very good - a 15-day test drive, during which we drove 9 thousand kilometers through 25 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, allows me to say this with full confidence.

2. There are several ways to get an idea of \u200b\u200ba particular machine. You can read the article in a reputable magazine or on a specialized site, you can watch commercials, you can go to a car dealership to look under the hood, to the salon or to drive, you can sign up for a test drive and drive a few kilometers, you can listen to the opinions of others people, professionals, or owners of a particular machine ...
Or you can drive and drive through half of Russia in real-life operation to get a full idea of \u200b\u200bwhat kind of horse is under you.
We got our Datsun On-Do in Trust III configuration at the dealership of Barnaul on November 10, 2014 and on the same day went to a 15-day rally through Novosibirsk, Omsk, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Samara, Tolyatti, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Tambov, Ryazan, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, Tver, Velikiye Luki, Pskov to finish December 25 in St. Petersburg.

3. What is Datsun on-DO and where did it come from in our market?
The company Datsun appeared 100 years ago in Osaka, becoming, in fact, the ancestor of the modern Nissan, into which it finally transformed from 1981 to 1986.
But in 2012, a revival of the brand was announced, which will be presented exclusively in the local and most dynamically developing markets - Russia, India, Indonesia and South Africa.
In each of these Datsun countries, the production of models specially designed taking into account the characteristics and specifics of a particular country is organized.
In Russia, Datsun launched the production of the onDo model, which is represented in the niche of inexpensive popular cars and is designed to compete with the products of the Chinese automobile industry and Lada.

4. Technically, Datsun on-Do is a car built on the Lada Grant platform with numerous technical changes and a design developed at Nissan's Japanese design center.
Front and rear tracks, as well as the wheelbase, match up to a millimeter. And it is produced on the same conveyor of a factory in Tolyatti.
What is the difference between Datsun on-DO and Lada Grant? The biggest changes affected the gearbox, suspension comfort and handling.
The gearbox here is mechanical, the same as that of Grant, but Japanese engineers made a number of changes to it to improve its performance - a cable drive was used, which reduces the level of noise and vibration, as well as the quality of gear shifting, the tooth profile of 2nd gear was changed , the main pair and reverse gear, which led to a reduction in transmission noise, and also eliminated the traditional VAZ problems when engaging 2nd and reverse gears
I must say that the gearbox was pleasantly surprised: comfortably long 3 and 4 gears allow you to drive around the city almost in automatic mode. We should also say about the dynamics of the car. She really goes! You do not expect such dynamics at all from a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of only 87 hp.
On the highway, we had to overtake many long-length trucks many times, with the need to quickly complete overtaking due to an approaching oncoming car. You press the pedal to the floor at 120 km / h and Datsun responds quite cheerfully with a push, quickly increasing speed. It is very nice to know that even at a rather high speed for this machine, they have a power reserve.

5. Now about the Datsun suspension and its differences from the base Grants.
Compared to the platform, Datsun has gas-filled shock absorbers that provide greater comfort when driving on rough roads, low banks and minimal buildup on the waves, which, incidentally, we fully experienced on the 4th day of our journey, turning off Ufa from the federal highway and having traveled about 300 kilometers on not-so-good roads, of which about 40 kilometers were on a rain-washed primer, more like a testing ground for SUVs than a road.
Engineers changed the characteristics of springs and anti-roll bars, aiming to improve ride and balance handling. In addition, compared to Grant, Datsun has a gearless electric power steering.
We had no complaints about the handling of the car from Ves: the car drives perfectly in the city in a dense city stream, and on the highway at high speeds, and on dirt roads where active steering wheel operation is required.
Like Grant, Datsun has a significant trump card for the domestic consumer - a large ground clearance

6. Engineers also took care of adapting the machine to winter operating conditions.
Datsun has heated front seats in the base, air ducts to the feet of the rear passengers, and optionally heated mirrors and heated windshield.
In general, it is surprising that some cars made in Russia and for Russia do not have these, in my opinion, mandatory options for our country.
Also in the database, Datsun is equipped with an ABS system (with EBD and Brake Assist systems, manufactured by Bosch), which is also very important for operation in winter conditions.
There were several moments on our way when we had to brake urgently, including on a slippery road, and ABS worked very clearly, not allowing us to “lose” the car.
If we talk about the safety of the car, then in the database it is equipped with frontal airbags for the driver and passenger, belt tensioners and ISOFIX mounts.
Side front airbags are also installed at maximum levels.

7. The Datsun line of motors is short, or rather there are only two of them - 1.6 liters with 82 hp. (Access standard only) and 87 bhp. (for all other trim levels)
About the pleasantly pleased 87-horsepower engine, I have already said a few flattering words above. It is really dynamic and elastic, it confidently drags from its place an 1160-kilogram sedan with a driver and a passenger.
Compared to Grant, engineers took care of additional noise insulation of the engine shield and hood, strengthened the noise insulation of the passenger compartment floor, trunk and wheel arches from the inside.
In addition, Nissan motorists calibrated the engine with increased idle stability, installed a flexible bellows for the exhaust system and moved the rear mounting point of the exhaust system to the spar. All this made the car significantly quieter than the basic Grant.

8. What is the price?
Datsun on-DO is only sold in fixed trim levels, of which there are already seven!
The basic version of Access for 329 thousand rubles has an 82-horsepower 1.6 engine and a minimum of options (which, however, includes a driver’s airbag, ABS, electric power steering, heated seats, tilt steering wheel adjustment, Isofix mounts and a fully folding rear backrest sofa). The manufacturer makes the main bet on the Trust configuration (there are three of them) at a price of 355 to 389 thousand rubles. They have the same 87-horsepower engine that we rode, and the equipment includes two airbags, fog lights, a central lock, body-colored bumpers, an on-board computer, power mirrors and front power windows. Trust II for 379 thousand additionally includes climate control, and Trust III for 389 thousand in on-DO - 2-DIN radio with USB / SD inputs and Bluetooth protocol.
TOP Dream configurations additionally include remote control of the central lock, rear windows, a separately folding back seat and preparation for the Hands Free kit (400 thousand), Dream II - light and rain sensors, as well as a 7-inch navigation system (430 thousand), and the maximum Dream III - heated windshield and rear-view mirrors, 4 airbags and full-time parking sensors (445 thousand).
In my opinion, the pricing policy of the model is very competent: the basic Datsun is not much more expensive than the Lada Grant, and all other configurations are comfortably located on the empty territory between the Lada and Renault Logan / Sandero.

9. From the technology we’ll move on to the interior and ergonomics, because many users are less interested in the technical details and in what will surround them every day during the operation of the machine.
Inside, it was unexpectedly comfortable - the Grant front panel was ennobled by a new center console, and silver lining appeared on the steering wheel hub.
The location of the knobs and buttons did not change, the devices are structurally the same, but the scales themselves are changed for better readability, as well as in terms of style.
Very successful in Datsun chairs! Frankly, before the start of the run, I was much more worried not about the fact that the equipment or the reliability of the machine failed, but because my back and body would hate me for this trip. Yes, over 15 days of travel, fatigue has accumulated significantly, but neither my back, nor shoulders, nor neck have never ached, although we had daytime runs of 1,000 kilometers. So thank you for the seats!

10. The plastic in the cabin is tough, but there are no squeaks and knocks due to the tight fit of the panels. The knobs and switches are convenient, everything is at hand, the climate control is understandable (although it is not completely complete - only the fan speed is automatically adjusted, and the flows must be controlled independently).

11. The machine is equipped with an understandable and readable on-board computer, the control button of which is displayed on the end of the right steering column switch. It shows daily mileage, average and instantaneous fuel consumption, temperature overboard, coolant temperature, fuel and travel reserve, and travel time
By the way, for good reason I posted this particular photo. Here, the computer just shows the average fuel consumption for all 9 thousand kilometers of our rally. It turned out 6.3 liters per 100 km. Very good, considering that on the highway we drove quite a lot at a speed of more than 120 km / h.

12. Mirrors. They are large and the visibility in them is excellent.
Starting with versions of Trust, on-DO is equipped with electric mirrors, helping to configure them, and in the maximum configuration and their heating.

13. Legroom for both the driver and front passenger is sufficient. There is much to do even when you sit in a chair for many hours.

14. The external lighting is good enough - both the low and high beam headlights are bright enough and well illuminate the road in front of the car. Fog lights in Trust versions are a good helper on unlit roads, highlighting areas directly in front of the car (which is very convenient when driving on primers and rough terrain at low speeds)

15. Ergonomics of the driver's seat.
In my opinion, this is one of the most controversial decisions of designers.
Two cupholders, a pocket, a 12-volt outlet and heated seat buttons, in my opinion, are arranged very poorly.
Firstly, the cigarette lighter socket turned out to be such that not only the splitter (yes, it is quite bulky), but just charging the navigator tried to drop out of it all the time.
In addition, if something is included in this socket (and in our time something is always turned on there - a navigator, charging a smartphone or powering the DVR), then putting a half-liter bottle or glass of coffee in a cup holder is very inconvenient - they are wires simply interfere with each other.
In addition, using the seat heating buttons located closer to the console will also be inconvenient

16. But besides the nests on the console, there’s nowhere to put a bottle of water in the cabin ..
Pockets in the door cards are not designed for this and the bottle can only be pushed into it by force

17. It will look like this

18. But the shelf above the glove box turned out to be a very successful solution.
Due to the fact that the box lid is intentionally slightly elevated above the shelf, this is simply the perfect place for a mobile phone or small items that need to be put somewhere during the trip.

19. However, it is worth considering that if you open the lid, the side automatically disappears and objects from your shelf may fall into the glove compartment ..

20. The air ducts are very well thought out, so in 15 days we did not encounter the problem of fogging at all. Anyway, it’s very comfortable to be in the cabin - you don’t need to constantly make it warmer or colder - the “climate” works perfectly.

21. Datsun on-DO just has a huge trunk. Yes, because of this feed the car looks a bit big, but 530 liters of volume !!!
To the back of the rear sofa is more than a meter, and the height is very decent. By the way, an interesting detail is that a full-size wheel is hidden in the spare wheel niche. And the tires here are not Kama, like Grants, but Pirelli P1 Cinturato.

22. The Datsun trunk can be opened either with an inconspicuous button under the light control unit on the front panel, or ... with a key. Just a button to do this does not work. Inconveniently.
To close the trunk, one of the niches is closed specially with a plastic insert-handle. But if you do not look under the trunk lid, it is not visible. It seems to me that a regular loop, which is always visible, would be much more convenient.

23. Another comment concerns the hatch and gas tank cover. The fact that the cap was fixed on a special flexible leash is good. But why didn’t they make a mount on the hatch to fix the cover during refueling?
Indeed, during the operation of the machine, the lid will definitely “rub” the bald spot on the roof. Yes, and with gasoline stains, it stains the paint ..

24. In general, in my opinion, the Russian Datsun turned out to be a pretty good car, even if it was built on the basis of Lada Grant.
A significant factor that can outweigh the scales of thought of a potential buyer is the after-sales service of Datsun on-DO. Indeed, unlike Lada Grant, it will be produced not at AvtoVAZ TO stations, but at Datsun dealerships, which, as a rule, have a common service base with Nissan and are usually located outside the wall of Nissan service stations. Specialists of Datsun service centers undergo training according to the programs and standards of Nissan, as the parent company, so the level of service should be an order of magnitude higher than the owners Grant and Kalin are used to.
By the way, in February, sales of Datsun hatchbacks, as well as versions with an automatic transmission should start, which makes this car even more attractive to the buyer.

My previous photo reports and photographs:

The centuries-old experience of Datsun developers has allowed us to create a motor vehicle that is ideal for the most difficult road conditions in Russia. The result was really impressive: the new Datsun On-Do is characterized by high-tech performance, stylish appearance, the presence of advanced solutions in the field of safety and comfort. Moreover, the best price offer in the region has been developed for this model.

Design by Datsun On-Do: Interior and Exterior Photos

As evidenced by the photo, this model has a fresh, elegantly sporty design. Swift body lines, an impeccable bullet-like silhouette, and a confident profile hint at the exceptional dynamic qualities of the model. The unique exterior of the vehicle is determined by such elements as a laconic stern design, an expanded air intake, expressive head optics in the form of boomerangs.

The spectacular 6-sided radiator grill, the structure of which is formed by small black cells and a chrome frame, repeats the geometry of the logo of the automobile brand. This draws attention to the vibrant and vibrant dynamics of the car. Additional stylish accents in the image of the vehicle are placed with the help of a black mesh design of halogen headlights and original 6-spoke wheels.

The expressive interior testifies to the huge work on it. The 5-seat cabin is characterized by improved sound insulation, high-quality lining, impeccable ergonomics. The manufacturer equipped the interior with anatomical chairs with enhanced support and a heating function. A roomy (530 liters) trunk, an informative dashboard with an on-board computer are the hallmarks of the Datsun On-Do cabin. Available in Moscow, modifications with an ultramodern multimedia device and an audio center are presented.

The tachometer shows the engine speed (x1000 rpm). Do not allow the tachometer needle to be in the red zone.

A red zone indicates a high engine speed. To avoid engine damage, the engine speed is limited by the electronic engine management system. If the engine speed exceeds approximately 6200 rpm, the fuel supply will be limited. After the engine speed drops, the fuel supply will continue.

The graduation of the scale depends on the version of the car. When starting the engine and while driving, do not let the engine speed drop below 800 rpm.

ATTENTION: If the tachometer needle approaches the red zone of the scale, engage a higher gear. Engine operation when the tachometer needle is in the red zone may result in engine damage. Possible jerking of the engine and the car in this case are not a malfunction. Do not allow the engine to run at crankshaft speeds below 800 and above 6200 rpm.

Speedometer

The speedometer indicates the vehicle speed in km / h. The graduation of the scale depends on the version of the car.

Trip Reset Button and Clock Settings (for some vehicle versions)

There is a button to reset the trip mileage counter, reset the daily mileage counter and set the clock. Trip meters are reset by a single short press of a button. To reset the daily mileage counter, press the button and hold it pressed for more than two seconds in the daily meter mode.

To enter the clock settings, you must press and hold the reset button on the dashboard for two seconds when the display mode of the total mileage of the car is on. The clock is set using the ▲ (minute) and ▼ (hour) buttons on the right switch under the steering wheel. To exit setup mode, press the button on the front of the dashboard or do not press any buttons on the switch under the steering wheel for more than five seconds.

Note: Do not rotate the button!

Fuel gauge

The fuel gauge shown on the vehicle information display corresponds to the “ON” position of the ignition switch.

Note: If the fuel level in the tank is low, a warning will appear on the dashboard. It is necessary to refuel the car with fuel as soon as possible.

The position of the arrow of the fuel gauge on the label "Empty tank" corresponds to the reserve fuel in the tank.

WARNING Fill the tank with fuel before it is fully exhausted.

Serviceability check of lamps of light signaling devices and indicators

Close all doors of the car, apply the parking brake, fasten the seat belts and set the ignition switch to the “ON” position without starting the engine. In this case, the following warning lights and indicators should light up.

The following indicators and indicators should light up briefly and then go out.

If any indicator does not turn on, this may mean a burn out of the lamp or an open circuit. Contact your authorized Datsun dealer immediately for service and repair if necessary.

On the information display of the car, located between the speedometer and tachometer, some indicators and warnings may appear.

Engine Fault Indicator (Orange)

When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, the indicator turns on. This means that the system is operational.

If the orange fault indicator turns on and stays on continuously when the engine is running, this may indicate a malfunction of the engine control system.

This, however, does not mean that you must immediately turn off the engine. The engine management system will function in emergency mode, and the engine will not differ much from normal.

Contact your authorized Datsun dealer for service and repair of engine systems. You can get to the service station on your own without resorting to towing a car.

A prolonged operation of the vehicle with the engine failure indicator on and a delay in checking and necessary repairs will inevitably lead to a deterioration in the traction and dynamic properties of the vehicle, an increase in fuel consumption and failure of the engine control system. However, the car warranty may be voided.

Violation of the engine control system adjustments may result in exceeding the permissible exhaust gas toxicity standards established by local or state standards.

Engine oil pressure warning lamp

The engine oil pressure warning lamp (4) lights up after the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position and lights up until the engine starts. The inclusion of a warning lamp and an intermittent audible alarm in any other situation may indicate insufficient pressure in the engine lubrication system.

ATTENTION- If the engine oil pressure warning lamp comes on when the engine is running, stop the vehicle immediately. Stop the engine and contact your Datsun authorized dealer for a fault diagnosis. Remember that insufficient pressure in the engine's lubrication system will break it.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, the anti-lock brake system malfunction indicator lamp lights up and goes out after about three seconds. This means that the anti-lock braking system is in good condition.

If the warning light for the anti-lock braking system malfunction does not go out while the engine is running or lights up while driving, this may indicate a malfunction of the anti-lock braking system and the need to check it. Contact your authorized Datsun dealer for service and repair.

If the anti-lock system malfunctions, it turns off. The service brake system continues to work, but the anti-lock braking system will not function.

Engine Coolant Temperature Indicator

When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, the engine coolant temperature indicator blinks red for several seconds. This indicates that the indicator is in good condition. If the indicator does not light up when the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position or turns on during car operation, this may indicate the need for an electrical circuit diagnosis. If the coolant temperature exceeds 115 ° C, the indicator will constantly blink red and briefly an intermittent audible alarm.

ATTENTION- Do not allow the engine to work in an overheated state .- Do not operate the vehicle with an overheated engine. The car must be delivered to a Datsun authorized dealer to check and eliminate the cause of engine overheating.

Brake Alarm (Red)

When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, this brake warning lamp illuminates for a few seconds. If this indicator turns on at any other time, this may be a sign of a malfunction in the vehicle's brake system. If the brake warning light comes on, stop the vehicle immediately and contact your Datsun authorized dealer.

A flashing warning light indicates that the parking brake is applied. Constant flashing of the indicator indicates a low level of brake fluid in the reservoir of the main brake cylinder or a malfunction of the anti-lock braking system / system of dynamic distribution of brake force (in this case, it lights up together with the ABS indicator (for some vehicle versions).

ATTENTION- If the warning light comes on while driving, the brake system may be malfunctioning. Continued driving can be dangerous. If you find that the braking system is working, you should head to the nearest service station at low speed for repairs. If this is not the case, call a tow truck, as self-propelled vehicle poses a danger. - Do not use the vehicle with a constantly flashing brake warning light. Contact your authorized Datsun dealer.

Battery Discharge Alarm

The battery discharge indicator lights up when the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position.

After the engine starts, the battery discharge indicator goes off. This indicates that the battery charging system is working.

If the battery discharge indicator does not go out when the engine is running or lights up while driving and an intermittent audible alarm sounds, this may indicate a malfunction of the battery charging system and the need to check it.

If the battery warning light comes on while driving, stop as soon as possible, observing traffic safety regulations. Stop the engine and check the condition of the alternator drive belt. If the alternator drive belt is loose, damaged or missing, the battery charging system needs repair.

If the alternator drive belt is in normal condition, but the low battery warning light remains on, check the charging system at a Datsun authorized dealer.

It is forbidden to continue driving on the vehicle if the alternator drive belt has insufficient tension, is damaged or missing.

ESP switch-off indicator (for some vehicle versions)

When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, the dynamic stabilization system (ESP) indicator lights up and then goes out after about two seconds after the completion of the self-diagnosis of the ABS and ESP systems. This means that the ESP system is operational.

If the ESP warning light comes on while the vehicle is in motion, this means that the dynamic stabilization function or the anti-skid function has been activated.

The “ESP OFF” indicator flashes in orange if the dynamic stabilization function or the anti-skid function is disabled, and goes off when these functions are turned on.

ATTENTION In all other cases, the inclusion of this indicator indicates a malfunction, which can only be eliminated at a service station of an authorized Datsun dealer.

Door open indicator

The open door indicator is always on when the driver’s door is open. In the Design version, this indicator turns on when any door is open.

Low fuel level switch

The indicator of a small amount of fuel turns on when it is necessary to fill the car with fuel so that the engine does not stall while driving. The low fuel level warning light comes on if two or less segments are lit on the fuel level indicator. The inclusion of the alarm is accompanied by the inclusion of an intermittent audible alarm. Simultaneous flashing of the indicator and segments of the fuel level indicator indicates a malfunction of the electrical circuit of the fuel level sensor.

Low tire pressure warning device (for some vehicle versions)

Your car can be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that monitors the air pressure in each tire, with the exception of the spare tire.

A low tire pressure warning device alerts you to low tire pressure or a TPMS malfunction.

When the air pressure in the tire drops, the indicator flashes orange.

Power Steering Alarm

ATTENTION- If the engine does not work or stalls while the vehicle is in motion, the power steering is inactive. More effort is required to rotate the steering wheel. - If the power steering alarm is activated while the engine is running, the power amplifier will not function. You can continue to drive, but it will be harder to do. Contact your Datsun Authorized Dealer Dealer to check the power steering system. The power steering warning lamp is activated when the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position. After starting the engine, the power steering warning lamp goes off. This means that the power steering is in good condition. If this warning light is lit when the engine is running, this may indicate a malfunction in the power steering system that needs to be checked and repaired. Contact your Datsun authorized dealer for service information on the electric power steering system.

Seat belt warning light (for some vehicle versions)

The seat belt reminder reminds you to fasten your seat belt. The warning light comes on every time the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” or “START” position and continues to light until the seat belt of the driver and / or passenger in the front seat remains unfastened. If the vehicle speed exceeds 10 km / h, the inclusion of an alarm is accompanied by the inclusion of an intermittent audible alarm. At a vehicle speed of up to 10 km / h, the audible alarm is turned off after 60 seconds of continuous movement.

ATTENTION Before you start driving, fasten your seat belt and make sure that your passengers are fastened.

Gearbox failure indicator (versions with automatic transmission)

When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, the transmission failure indicator lights up for a few seconds. If the indicator does not turn on when the ignition switch is set to the “ON” position, this may indicate a transmission malfunction. In this case, you should contact the service station of an authorized Datsun dealer as soon as possible.

ATTENTION In all other cases, a flashing gearbox failure indicator indicates a problem that needs to be addressed. Contact your authorized Datsun dealer.

Airbag indicator (for some vehicle designs)

When the ignition switch is turned to the “ON” position, the passenger airbag status indicator on the front seat lights up for a few seconds. If the indicator does not turn on when the ignition switch is set to the “ON” position, this may indicate a malfunction of the airbag system. In this case, you should contact the service station of an authorized Datsun dealer as soon as possible.

ATTENTION In all other cases, the inclusion of this indicator indicates a malfunction, which can be eliminated only at a service station of an authorized Datsun dealer.

Immobilizer indicator

The alarm system (immobilizer) flashes orange when the ignition switch is in the “LOCK”, “OFF” or “ACC” position, and indicates the immobilizer status and the security system operation mode of the vehicle.

Direction indicators

The direction indicator lights flash along with the direction indicators.

The digital display has several lines.

The top line displays the current time or gear position indicator (for some vehicle versions).

The middle line displays the total or daily mileage.

The bottom line (for some vehicle versions) displays the outside temperature or other trip computer information.

The graphic display shows the current fuel level. If refueling is necessary, the low fuel warning lamp and an audible alarm will turn on.

WARNING- Manipulation of the information display while driving can cause an accident in which you may be seriously injured or die. Be sure to stop the car in a safe place before working with the display. - When driving, look at the display only when necessary and do not hold your gaze for a long time. Watch out for the road. Careless driving can cause an accident in which you can be seriously injured or die.

Headlight and direction indicator switch

Lighting control system and headlight range control

The outdoor lighting switch can be installed in one of three positions (or four in the Design version):

Outdoor lighting is turned off when the engine is off; Daytime running lights (DRL) are on when the engine is running.

Taillights in combination with DRL are included.

The taillights and dipped or main beam are switched on, depending on the position of the switch.

In the Design version, in this position, the taillights and the dipped headlights turn on and off automatically, depending on the lighting conditions. The sunlight sensor, combined with the rain sensor, is located on the windshield under the rear view mirror.

The control system for outdoor lighting devices (lighting system) allows you to turn on / off the taillights and dipped headlights, depending on the level of outdoor lighting. For example, the inclusion of lighting occurs at dusk or at the entrance to a tunnel or garage.

The control system for outdoor lighting devices only works with the ignition on. It should be remembered that when the control system of external lighting devices is on, it is impossible to turn on the high beam of the headlights for a long time. In order to switch on the main beam headlights for a long time, it is necessary to turn the switch of the control system for outdoor lighting devices to the dipped beam position.

ATTENTION The moment of switching on the external lighting by the control system of external lighting devices may not meet the safety requirements. Therefore, the use of this system does not save the driver from the need to comply with safety regulations and traffic rules.

Headlight range control switch (for some vehicle options)

Depending on the number of passengers in the cabin and the mass of the cargo carried, in some cases the beam of the headlights may be directed too high. When driving on hilly terrain, the headlights can have a dazzling effect both on drivers of passing cars (through the rear-view mirror) and on drivers of oncoming cars. The axis of the light beam of the headlights can be lowered using the corrector located on the front panel next to the steering column.

A larger number on the control corresponds to a stronger slope of the light beam.

Installing the corrector adjuster outside the scale may cause the right and left headlights to out of sync with the dipped beam.

ATTENTION- Correct adjustment of the tilt of the light beams of the headlights reduces the degree of dazzle of oncoming drivers .- To avoid poor illumination of the roadway, do not set the corrector adjuster to the extreme clockwise position.

Direction indicator lever

I. Neutral position: the dipped headlights are on if the headlights have been switched on by the outdoor lighting switch.

II. Left turn indicators are in non-locked position.

III. Left direction indicators are included in a fixed position.

IV. Right turn indicators are included in the non-fixed position.

V. Right turn indicators are included in a fixed position.

VI. The driver pulls the lever towards himself (signaling with headlights). The main beam is switched on regardless of the position of the outdoor lighting switch. Unfixed position.

VII. The driver pushes the lever away. The high beam of the headlights is on if the headlights have been switched on by a switch for outdoor lighting. Fixed position.

Rear fog light

The rear fog lamp should be used only in conditions of very limited visibility (in general - less than 100 m).

To turn on the rear fog light, set the outdoor light switch to (for some vehicle versions) and press the rear fog light switch. The rear fog lamp and the corresponding indicator light up. To turn off the rear fog lamp, press its switch again.

Fog lights (for some vehicle versions)

To turn on the fog lights, set the outdoor light switch to (for some vehicle versions) and press the fog lamp switch. The fog lights and the corresponding indicator light up. To turn off the fog lights, press the switch again.

Wiper and washer switch

I. Neutral position. The windshield wiper and washer are turned off.

II. The windshield wiper is intermittent. Unfixed position.

III. The windshield wiper is intermittent. Fixed position.

IV. The windshield wiper operates at a low speed. Fixed position.

V. The windshield wiper operates at high speed. Fixed position.

VI. The driver pulls the lever towards himself, the windshield washer is working. Unfixed position.

VII. The driver pushes the lever away, the rear window cleaner works. Fixed position.

Viii. The driver pushes the lever away, the wiper and the rear window washer are working. Unfixed position.

In intermittent mode, the interval between the flaps of the wiper arms is several seconds, regardless of the presence of drops on the windshield.

Rain and sunlight sensor (for some vehicle versions)

In the design, the car is equipped with a combined sensor for rain and sunlight.

It is located on the windshield under the rear view mirror.

For proper operation of the windshield wiper and the automatic control system of outdoor lighting devices, it is necessary to keep the area of \u200b\u200bthe windshield opposite the rain and sunlight sensor clean and monitor the condition of the wiper blades.

Automatic wiper control system (for some vehicle versions)

In the design, the car is equipped with an automatic wiper control system. It automatically turns on the wiper depending on the presence of raindrops on the windshield.

The automatic wiper control system is recommended to be used only in the rain, as the system reacts very sensitively to dust particles, fog, snow or deicing agent and can turn on the wiper when the windshield is dry.

The automatic wiper control system only works when the ignition switch is in the “ON” position. To activate the automatic wiper control system, it is necessary to switch the rain sensor switch located in the sensor housing under the rear-view mirror from position 0 to any position from 1 to 4 (four-step adjustment of the sensitivity of the rain sensor is provided; the extreme right position of the switch (position 4) corresponds to the maximum sensitivity ), and the windshield wiper control lever to position III (intermittent operation). At the same time, the wiper arms will do one wave, after which they will stop or continue to work depending on the number of raindrops on the windshield.

If at that moment the wiper has already been switched on, then after the next ignition is switched on, the wiper arms will do one wave, after which the automatic wiper control system will turn on.

In the event of a malfunction, the system will automatically switch to “manual” control mode.

To disable the automatic wiper control system and activate the “manual” control mode, set the rain sensor switch to position 0 (leftmost position). In this mode, the wiper control lever can be manually moved to the desired position.

When the ignition is turned off, the wiper turns off. The wiper blades go into the “parking” state.

If at the time the ignition was turned off, the wiper was in continuous operation, the wiper blades may stop in a position other than the “parking” position. To install the wiper blades in the "parking" position, it is necessary to set the wiper control lever to position I or III no later than 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off.

Regularly remove dirt from the surface of the glass and rubber blades of the wiper blades, deposits of anti-icing reagent and bitumen using a washer fluid. Residues of insects, grease, wax and other contaminants on the windshield can cause malfunctions in the wiper and cause smudges on the glass surface. If the stains cannot be removed with the washer fluid, clean the surface of the glass and the rubber blades of the brushes with a soft cloth using special detergents. After cleaning, wash the surface of the glass and the rubber blades of the brushes with water.

ATTENTION- To avoid damage, do not turn on the windshield wiper with the hood open. - Do not open the hood lock and do not raise the hood with the wiper arms raised. - Do not turn on the wiper when the windshield is dry. Failure to do so may result in scratches on the windshield and damage to the wiper blades. If the glass surface is dry, the washer must be turned on before turning on the wipers. - If the wiper blades are frozen to the glass, before turning on the wiper, the windshield heating must first be turned on (for some vehicle versions) and make sure that the brushes are thawed. Attempting to turn on a cleaner whose brushes are frozen on the glass may damage the rubber blade of the brush and cause increased wear on the cleaner motor. - Do not clean the rubber blade of the brush with benzene or thinner: this will damage the blade. - Do not allow the washer to operate continuously for more than 15 seconds .- Do not turn on the washer if there is no fluid in its tank or it is frozen. - At low temperature, the liquid that has got on the windshield may freeze and limit visibility. Before using the washer, it is recommended to warm up the windshield by turning on the heating (for some vehicle versions) of the windshield.
